I bought this knowing it was a CAT N vehicle, since I'd seen it before the repair and I also knew the chap repairing it and his level of skill - he'd previously worked for both Rolls Royce and an Austin Healey specialist. It had a dent in the offside bonnet, the bumper was cracked and the near side lower wishbone was bent - we think it might have been parked and pushed up the kerb when hit. I've also partially de-chromed it with a belt line kit, black trim on both front and rear lights, plus the petrol cap. I bought a brand new set of Track Spoke alloy wheels, fitted with new Pirelli P7 run flat tyres, so that I could uprate the front discs to 330mm, plus I thought they looked better than the Cosmos wheels.
I've got all the bills for what I've spent. It had been previously serviced by BMW 3 times and I fully serviced it myself in December at 40999 miles, now at 42093, which might go up a bit.
It's in really excellent shape, with cruise, aircon, a sunroof, DAB radio and a nice part'leather' unmarked interior, with sports seats, plus a JCW steering wheel, which I added. I've had no problems with it at all and when it was MOT'd in June, it passed without any issues. Any queries let me know and I'll do my best to answer. At 74, this was a bit of a'last hurrah' for my motoring career, but a problem with my left knee now means I need an automatic as opposed to this manual car, which has the choice of green, mid and sport modes. I think somebody will get a very nice car, but if you're at all interested I'd recommend you come and have a look yourself - we live near Eastbourne/Brighton - it will not be a wasted journey!
